Iconic brands Diet Coke and Cosmopolitan were the honorees and sponsors of the recent Night Out event with Diet Coke and Cosmopolitan, in partnership with Brandsway Creative. Hosted in the swank Manhattan Dream Downtown hotel, the bash occurred on November 26th, 2012 in the PH-D rooftop.

With incredible views overlooking downtown and northern Manhattan, the venue set the mood for the stylish and fun event. Featuring celebrity talent and a distinguished crowd, the “cool” factor was present throughout the night. Supermodel Julie Henderson was the host for the evening while Grammy winning recording artist, Chrisette Michele, provided the festivities musical entertainment. In fact, one of the first guests found inside the rooftop party was Chrisette Michele herself, who mingled and sipped the complimentary Patron Tequila cocktails while enjoying the DJ musings of AndrewAndrew. Other notables whom attended the event were television’s Chef Roble and Carla Facciolo, as well as actress Nicole Galicia.

While Patron Tequila cocktails were carried around throughout the night by the hotel’s waitress staff, AndrewAndrew kept the party going with a funky fusion of musical numbers, stopping only once so that Christette Michele could take the stage. Performing a couple of her own tunes, Michele was definitely the star of the night. The audience was wowed by her body-hair-raising soulful performance, and many were inspired to joyously sing along. When Michele’s set concluded, DJ duo, AndrewAndrew, returned to the sound system and moved the crowd for another hour or so until the party wrapped.

Members of the press, executives, and industry insiders were brought together for this beautiful fun-filled evening of celebration and music. Diet Coke and Cosmopolitan’s partnership was kicked off on the right note, leaving guests in high spirits and with happy ears.

Chrisette Michele Interview

Moshe: First I want to ask you what this event means to you and what brought you here today? I know you are going to perform!

Chrisette: It’s a really cool mixer for all these beautiful people that work so hard to brand wonderful things like a super cool coke can that one day, maybe I’ll look like! I just came to have fun with everybody.

Moshe: What are you currently working? What are you involved in?

Chrisette: Well right now, I just went to Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, and here in New York of course, to follow the footsteps of Audrey Hepburn. And then I did an entire audio-visual presentation based on some of the film titles that she acted in. Its called Audrey Hepburn: The Audio Visual Presentation and its due out on December 8th for free download on Coast to Coast Mixtapes!

Moshe: Obviously, you are a style icon, you are fly! What motivates you style-wise and where do you find inspiration?

Chrisette: Stop it! Cut it out! So Embarrassed! Well, thank you! I appreciate that! Right now I’ve been hanging out a lot in my city, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. You find what you can mix and match, as long as it has a good shape, as long as its well tailored, so you can go to a thrift shop and hang out and then bring it to the cleaners and get it tailored a little bit on the waist or whatever. The 70s inspires me, 90s goth inspires me, and just having fun and being yourself.

Moshe: And what do you have prepared for us tonight?

Chrisette: Its kind of one of those things where everybody has got some rum and coke inside of them, so I’m just going to feel it out. I think I’m going to sing Epiphany, I think I’m going to sing What You Do. Keep it upbeat! AndrewAndrew is totally killing the ones and twos, so what do I need to do really?

Julie Henderson Interview

Moshe: What does this event mean to you and how did this partnership come about?

Julie: Cosmo makes every woman feel sexy no matter what, inside and out, and a woman is always going to drink and diet coke over a coke! We gotta watch our girly figures, right? So I think it’s a good collaboration between the two and it really unties femininity and women in general being powerful. What Cosmo is all about!

Moshe: What do you have planned for us tonight?

Julie: There is a performance happening that I’m looking forward to which hopefully comes on soon and we can all boogie and have fun!

Moshe: Yes! And lastly, what are you currently working on?

Julie: I’m working on a swimwear line called Basta, I’m collaborating with them, I’m doing capsule collection and it should be out in February. Its been a really fun process! I’ve worked in fashion and with swim for so long so its fun to actually put my own creativity into a product and see it made. I can hold it and I get samples, its just really exciting, its been a lot of fun! Hopefully everybody loves it!

Moshe: Who are you wearing tonight?

Julie: I’m wearing Alice & Olivia and Brian Atwood.
